Alonso hails improved car
Fernando Alonso reckons Ferrari will be a new beast for the remainder of the season, which he hopes will bring him race wins and also the world drivers title. The two-time world champion tasted his first success of the season at the British Grand Prix and he hailed modifications made to his Ferrari car, with the F150 showing marked improvements in pace around high-speed corners.
It maintained a degree of improvements shown by the team over recent races and Alonso reckons this is going to continue over the remainder of the season and those placing F1 bets should bear this in mind.
Despite his Ferrari car improving race-by-race, Alonso still remains some distance behind runaway title leader Sebastian Vettel, who has looked dominant in the majority qualifying and races so far in 2011.
If Alonso is to hold any ambitions of beating Vettel to the world drivers title this season he needs his Ferrari to dominate in the rest of the season the way Red Bull have led the way in recent months and those looking at the F1 betting odds should bear this in mind.
Alonso admits every new part and modification has worked fine in recent races, which is definitely good news.
I am very, very confident in the car, the engine and all our designers are very motivated now, knowing that everything they did, working day and night is producing good results, he added.
Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali recently admitted the teams priority was improved performances in races, with the hope that this could move Alonso into a prime position to win the title come the end of the season.
